A GAME DEVELOPER BASED IN UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS

Since 2018 I've worked in the indie game industry and lectured on game programming - with lots of passion. Additionally, I'm a vibrant person with vibrant hair.


As a game developer, I'm truly excited about making visions come to life. But in true indie fashion I thrive on being involved in and working with the many facets of game production such as design, art and story.


My expertises are graphics programming and procedural content generation about which I'm very passionate.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2020 - current

Hogeschool van de Kunsten Utrecht

Lecture, develop and coach for HKU Games. Courses include: Building Playful Worlds, Tech Art, "U Vraagt Wij Draaien", Developing AI for Games, GDEV++, Rapid Prototyping.

2023 - current

Soaring Cities

In cooperation with Studio Blue Storm, I'm currently working on Soaring Cities as developer and designer. 

2018 - 2023

Unexplored 2 for Ludomotion 

As freelancer for Unexplored 2 with the Unity3D engine in C#. Worked on design and programming for procedural content generation, graphics, UI and controls.

Hogeschool van Amsterdam

Lecture, develop and coach for FDMCI HBO-ICT Game Development. Courses and projects: Artificial Intelligence, Project Game Development, Gameplay Engineering et al.

Owner of RCDev. Active as freelancer in the indie games industry in The Netherlands.

Internships

Programmer at Stolen Couch Games (2016) and Ludomotion (2018) and the lectorate Play & Civic Media at the University of Applied Sciences (2018). Research paper "Wonderful Design: Applying Appraisal Theory to Procedural Level Generation" published in AIIDE-WS 2018 based on my Bachelor thesis.
